What sets apart the stringer pallet is the top and bottom deck that it provides. The name comes from the stringers that run in between the decks. A sturdy stringer pallet will support the load – even multiple loads or trips! The use of a forklift will easily transport your goods from point A to point B, allowing your machine to enter the pallet in a 2 or 4-way. Notches in the stringer pallet grant the forklift access in all different directions.

Pallet boards, also called pallet stock or pallet planks, are made from lumber that is cut, shaped, and finished in order to act as a shipping container. Because these pallet boards are used to transport heavy loads, the lumber needs to be high quality. It’s a misconception that pallet stock lumber is “scrap” wood. In fact, it’s much the opposite. Pallet lumber needs to be sturdy and up to the task of carrying heavy loads.

A Cant is a sawn log that is sent to another machine for additional processing or sold as a large slab to be used as a building log. A cant sawmill has the job of sawing logs to form cants for further manufacturing. The head saw is the machine used to turn logs into cants.
